41st Santa Fe Spring Arts Festival

Spring Arts has a juried art show, continuous entertainment on two stages, and a Kids Art Jungle. As a joint attraction this year the SFC Teaching Zoo is open festival weekend. Visitors can plan a double destination in Gainesville-a family oriented art festival and a kid friendly zoo. Now there's twice as much fun at SFC!
Spring Arts was voted the top Florida art festival by readers of Florida Monthly magazine in 2008 and has been recognized as one of the top 20 events by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Spring Native Plant Sale

Put some zing in your garden and bring the family out to the Native Plant Sale to get native plants for your home. The largest native plant sale in North Florida, offering thousands of ferns, grasses, trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.
The event features a free naturalist-led wildflower walk (Saturday only), free expert plant advice at the FNPS booth and our famous free Park-A-Plant service that allows you to shop hands free while we tag, store and help load your plants.

Come and witness an exciting phenomenon known as Plein Air painting in Evinston, FL and surrounding areas (Cross Creek, Orange Lake) from April 17-24, 2010. Approximately 30 of the best national landscape painters will be painting in Evinston for an entire week! These artists paint outside "en plein air," meaning "in the open air. Most Plein Air painters are nature lovers, using the great outdoors as their primary studio, trying to capture our rapidly vanishing landscape to preserve it for future generations.

Farm and Forest Festival

The Farm and Forest Festival is the largest festival at Morningside Nature Center Living History Farm. The Festival, which takes place on April 24th, highlights North Central Florida rural life in 1870. Visitors can view historic-breed farm animals, hear period music, and observe traditional crafts and trades such as sheepshearing, spinning, weaving, and woodstove cooking. Horse-drawn wagon rides and crafts add to the merriment of this family-friendly event!

The 34th Annual Pioneer Days Celebration

High Springs Civic Center
High Springs was incorporated in 1892. Those pioneering families,
some of whose decedents still live here today, will be honored during this celebration. The event will include a shoot-out re-enactment, a Heritage Village with demonstrations and Antique Tractors,
